Terms of Use

Effective date: July 1, 2026  ·  Last updated: July 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Summr Institute platform (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not access or use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Summr Institute Inc., a Delaware nonprofit corporation (“the Institute”).

The Institute is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial institution. Nothing on the Platform constitutes investment advice, a solicitation of securities, or a regulated financial service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and enrolled at an accredited educational institution, or otherwise eligible under an active institutional partnership agreement, to create a student account. By registering, you represent and warrant that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately at info@summr.tech if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • One account per person. Account sharing is prohibited and may result in suspension.
  • Institutional partner accounts (faculty or administrator) are subject to additional terms set out in the applicable partnership agreement.

4. Permitted Use

The Platform is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial educational use only. You may:

  • Access course materials, videos, quizzes, and training modules for which you are enrolled.
  • Download or print materials expressly marked as available for download, for personal study only.
  • Participate in cohort discussions, networking features, and Institute-hosted events.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Reproduce, redistribute, sublicense, or sell any Platform content without the Institute's prior written consent.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access, collect, or index Platform content.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Platform.
  • Impersonate another student, faculty member, or Institute representative.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or content that violates applicable law.
  • Attempt to circumvent certification requirements, including falsifying quiz responses or assignment submissions.
  • Use Institute branding, logos, or curriculum materials to create competing products.

6. Intellectual Property

All Platform content — including curriculum, videos, assessments, case studies, templates, brand assets, and software — is the exclusive intellectual property of Summr Institute Inc. or its licensors, protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and trade secret law. Your use of the Platform does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

Certifications issued by the Institute are non-transferable credentials that verify completion of specific programme requirements. They may not be altered or reproduced beyond personal display use.

7. Payments and Refunds

Certain programmes require payment of enrolment fees, processed through Stripe. Fees are stated at the point of purchase and are generally non-refundable unless otherwise specified in writing at the time of purchase or required by applicable consumer protection law. In the event of a technical error that prevents access to a paid programme, contact info@summr.tech within 7 days for a resolution.

8. Certifications and Internships

Institute certifications are professional credentials issued upon satisfactory completion of programme requirements. They are not academic degrees and do not confer any regulatory licence (including FINRA, SEC, CFA, or CPA licensure). The Institute makes no guarantees regarding employment outcomes.

Consideration for Summr-affiliated or partner-organisation internships is selective, performance-based, and subject to programme availability. Reference to internship pathways does not constitute a guarantee of placement.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE INSTITUTE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE INSTITUTE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THE INSTITUTE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO THE INSTITUTE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

The Institute may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct that disrupts the learning environment. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting info@summr.tech. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any paid fees unless required by law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, with arbitration held in New York, NY. You waive the right to participate in any class action proceeding.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days in advance.
